📅 April 2026⏱ 4 min read👤 GoldAndIPO Team

You applied for an IPO, the subscription period is over, and now you're waiting to find out if you got shares. Allotment is announced about 6-7 days after the IPO closes. Here's how to check your status once it's out.

Method 1: BSE Website (Easiest)

  1. Go to bseindia.com
  2. Click on "Investors" → "Application Status"
  3. Select the IPO name from the dropdown
  4. Enter your application number or PAN
  5. Click submit — you'll see if you got allotment

Method 2: Registrar's Website

Every IPO has a registrar — the company that manages the allotment process. Common registrars in India are:

Go to the respective registrar's site, enter your PAN or application number, and check status. The registrar details for each IPO are mentioned in the IPO documents and on our allotment checker page.

Method 3: Your Broker App

The simplest way — just open Zerodha, Groww, Upstox or whichever app you used to apply. Go to the IPO section and look at your application history. Status will show as "Allotted" or "Not Allotted" once announced.

Method 4: CDSL/NSDL

If you got allotment, shares appear in your demat account on listing day. You can check your holdings on CDSL (cdsl.com) or NSDL (nsdl.co.in) directly using your DP ID and client ID.

💡 If you didn't get allotment, the blocked amount in your bank is released automatically — usually on the same day as allotment announcement or the next business day. No action needed from your side.

What If Allotment Date Has Passed But You See Nothing?

Sometimes there's a slight delay. Wait one more business day. If it's still unclear, contact your broker's support. Also double-check that your UPI mandate was approved — if it wasn't approved in time, your application would have been rejected automatically.
